What careers do MSU astronomy alumni have?

While many of our graduate alumni are involved in higher education, others work in a variety of careers, from software engineering to business analytics to data science. Likewise, many of our undergraduate alumni continue in astronomy Ph.D. programs, but they, like astronomy graduates nationwide, find careers in many diverse fields. How can I get involved in astronomy?

Check out our events listing, where you will find information on public observing nights at the campus observatory and our "Astronomy on Tap" discussions on the latest developments in astronomy. Abrams Planetarium also hosts many astronomy events, including the Astronomical Horizons lecture series.
